Despite entering their first-ever continental adventure, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable result that all but secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight entry to the knockout stages, especially after a previous setback against Strasbourg.

This match offered a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second consecutive match.

After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive evening for the visiting side.
